Who am I?

Good question!

My name is Rowan. I’m incredibly passionate about writing, and I always have been. If I don’t have a notebook with me, I feel lost and uncertain.

The first ever book I wrote was when I was four. It was called The Runaway Flapdoodle, and was about a pancake that could shapeshift. He would run around the neighbourhood and cause problems. Thankfully, my writing has improved a lot since this point.

Literature has always been my passion. I studied English Lit at A Level, and it was by far my strongest subject. I love analysis and exploration - so why not make a career out of it?

In terms of non-fiction, I tend to specialise in media analysis and reviews. This includes films, music, video games, and books. I love all of these, and I’m always willing to talk about them.

My other background is in medicine, having worked in community pharmacy. I’ve learned so much in this career, and I’m excited to see whether any of that transfers to writing. Please don’t ask me for medical advice, though…

I currently live in the UK, although I have previously lived in the Netherlands. Although my website assumes clients are in Britain, I’m more than happy to work internationally. I can switch between British English and American English as needed - whatever works best for you. Assume everything I produce is in British English unless otherwise specified.
